TRUE FREEDOM FROM SIN
Romans 12:2
[2]Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Ever wondered why born again Christians still sin? A lot of preachers say there’s no sin for one who’s born again, very true but ever wondered why most still do it?

God in his own wisdom created man of the flesh(body), soul and spirit. He made it such that decisions taken by the flesh, processed by the soul will have no option but to be fulfilled by the spirit because there was only one spirit (spirit of God ) in man but then Adam had to sell our birthright and the flesh which was the dwelling place of God became the habitat of satan as well as his spirit started fulfilling our selfish desires.

The flesh was therefore rejected by God and he started dwelling in the bodies (not flesh because the flesh is a chained system with no mind or control over it’s actions) of his chosen. But it doesn’t mean the flesh is still not around, see so long as you have blood running through your veins, you can’t escape the flesh. Let’s get this trick and we’d understand the real nature of sin.

After an hour of speaking in tongues, the first thought that drops in your subconsciousness is that beautiful girl and what you’d do to her the moment she gives in to you and after this evil thought, you sit still without taking any action and before you know it, everything is done and you think it’s normal and then you’ll be like after all there’s no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, please get a grip. You just allowed the flesh to control you there.

When the bible asked all Christians to have a RENEWAL OF MIND, he was not requesting the people of God to go back to those sinful ways before Christ and still have those fleshy desires, NO!!! he was asking us to completely overcome the flesh by remaining in his presence day and night.

The presence I’m speaking of today is not the everyday prayer and fasting presence, but the one where our minds become so sharp to discern interruptions of flesh and that of the body, the presence where you rebuke with faith all fleshy thoughts and desires, the presence where you’re able to sense any signals of the flesh being sent by the processor (mind) before it reaches the output (the spirit of darkness).

We’ve all been there before (committing sin and justifying it) but a wake up call from the spirit of God made us understand everything.
It is my dearest and sincere prayer that we all renew our minds and build a relationship with the spirit of God so as to maintain our bodies in Christ instead of allowing the flesh to overpower the body given to us by and through the spirit of God.

PRAYER
we thank you holy spirit for your word today, it is our earnest prayer that we rekindle our extinguished flame and commune totally with you so as not to fall prey to the desires of the flesh. In Jesus name amen
